Big Love
Mormon theology is a form of restorationism that shares a common set of beliefs with the rest of the Latter Day Saint movement, including use of the Bible, the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. It also has a history of teaching eternal marriage, eternal progression, and plural marriage, although the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had abandoned the practice by the early 20th century. Under the doctrine of revelation, Latter-day Saints believe that Jesus leads the church by revealing his will to the President of the Church, whom they sustain as a modern-day prophet, seer, and revelator. Individual members are expected to receive personal revelation from God for specifics in conducting their lives.

Lugares Comunes
Fernando: Experiencia no implica conocimiento...

Broken
House: Why did you kiss me?
Lydia: How many reasons are there? I like you. It felt like a nice way of showing you that.
___

The Lady from Shanghai
With these mirrors is difficult to tell. You are aiming at me, aren't you? I am aiming at you, lover. Of course, killing you is killing myself. It's the same thing. But, you know, I'm pretty tired of both of us.
___
Hai unha frase gloriosa que dixo ela unha vez para definirse a si mesma e a súa relación cos homes: "Basically, I am a good, gentle person, but I am attracted to mean personalities".
The third man
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, bloodshed, but they produced Michaelangelo - Leonardo Da Vinci, and the Renaissance... In Switzerland, they had brotherly love. They had five hundred years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce?... The cuckoo clock.
___
*The third man dirixiuna Carol Reed, con guión de Graham Green, en 1949.

In Treatment
I was looking at her. Looking at every inch of her body. And I said to my self: Who the hell is this woman, sleeping in the sofa, in front of the TV? What the hell does she know about me? What does she think she knows about me? And what the hell am I doing, living with her in the same living room in the same house with the same kids for the last 15 years?
Understand?

*Cheguei a In Treatment en plena resaca de Mad Men, seguindo os sempre sabios consellos de Ascárida, e papei sete episodios seguidos, sen respirar. É emocionante intensa intelixente contida. Encántanme a brevidade e a estrutura narrativa. Estou enganchadirma. A este non lle gusta tanto, advirto

I think I wrote that. It was to sell nylons.

-"She won't get married because she's never been in love." I think I wrote that. It was to sell nylons.

-For a lot of people, love isn't just a slogan.
-Oh, "love". You mean the big lightning bolt to the heart, where you can't eat, can't work, so you run off and get married and make babies. The reason you haven't felt it is because it doesn't exist. What you call "love" was invented by guys like me to sell nylons.
-Is that right?
-I'm pretty sure about it. You're born alone, you die alone, and this world just drops a bunch of rules on top of you to make you forget those facts. But I never forget. I'm living like there's no tomorrow, because there isn't one.

*Comecei onte a ver Mad men e alucinei.
